Facit is a duo from Göteborg, Sweden, comprising Joakim Karlsson and Mai Nestor. They are known for their quintessential melancholic Swedish minimal synth wave sound, which reflects the lives of lonely people in the north. Their music features a sparse and minimalistic style that balances warmth and coldness, utilizing analog synthesizers and drum machines from the past, such as the Korg Mono/Poly and Boss Dr. Rhythm DR55. Facit creates melancholic melodies and synchronized rhythms, often frozen in a minor key. Both members share vocal duties, singing in Swedish, English, and French.
