Falcom Sound Team jdk is the collective name for Nihon Falcom's sound production staff, originally founded in late 1988. The alias first appeared in the game Star Trader, released in March 1989, as simply "J.D.K." The unit was later renamed to "Falcom Sound Team J.D.K." in early 1990, and the "J.D.K." pseudonym was changed to "jdk" with the release of Revival Xanadu in April 1995. Since its establishment, all composition and arrangement duties for Falcom games have been conducted under the name "Falcom Sound Team jdk (J.D.K.)." Consequently, while members are credited in-game, the composer or arranger of each individual track remains officially unknown. Additionally, all Falcom music composed prior to 1989 has been retroactively attributed to the "Sound Team J.D.K./jdk" moniker.
