Fania Basse Terrienne is a musical group from Guadeloupe, France, formed in the mid-1970s. The group was initiated by trumpeter and composer Astasie Philogène and is known for bringing together some of the best combos from the island. The name "Fania Basse Terrienne" is a nod to the famous "Fania All Stars" led by Johnny Pacheco.
