Farid Atrache was a renowned Syrian musical master known for his exceptional skills as an oud player, composer, singer, and actor. Born on October 19, 1910, in Swaida, Syria, he is often regarded as the greatest oud player of all time. Although he hailed from Syria, he spent much of his life in Egypt. Farid Atrache passed away on December 26, 1974, in Beirut, Lebanon. He was also the brother of a famous Syrian singer and actress.
