Real Name is a British new wave band hailing from Birmingham, England. They were primarily active from 1978 to 1984, with a brief revival in 2009. The band started as a post-punk group before evolving into a new wave and synthpop style. Between 1982 and 1984, they had three singles that charted in the lower reaches of the UK chart.
