Fats Domino, born on February 26, 1928, in New Orleans, Louisiana, was an influential American rhythm and blues singer, songwriter, and pianist. He joined the Dave Bartholomew Band in the mid-1940s and signed with Imperial Records in 1949. Throughout his career, Domino appeared in several films, including "Shake Rattle And Rock!", "Jamboree," "The Big Beat," and "The Girl Can't Help It." He was a multi Grammy winner and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 as a performer. Additionally, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1998. Fats Domino passed away on October 24, 2017, in Harvey, Louisiana.
