Fawzy Al-Aiedy is an Iraqi singer, songwriter, and musician known for his expertise in playing the oud and oboe. Born in the 1950s in Basra, Iraq, his exact date of birth remains unknown as his parents forgot to record it. He pursued his studies at the School of Fine Arts, where he learned Western classical music on the oboe and traditional music on the oud. After graduating in 1968 during a time of political unrest in Iraq, he completed national service and moved to France in 1971. There, he attended the Ecole Nationale de Musique de Boulogne-Billancourt, graduating in 1976. Fawzy Al-Aiedy currently resides in Paris, France.
