Feeding People is a band founded and led by nineteen-year-old Jessie Jones, known for their heavy psychedelic sound reminiscent of the 13th Floor Elevators. Jones channels the raw power of iconic artists like Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane and Janis Joplin, delivering strong, visceral vocals that echo a primal energy, while also incorporating a sweetness akin to Billie Holiday. The band's early recordings were produced by Chris Alfaro of Free the Robots, created in a small walk-in closet using a 4-track recorder. After only a few performances, Feeding People gained recognition as the second band ever invited to play at the renowned electronic music club Low End Theory, sharing the stage with Thom Yorke of Radiohead.
