Fernando Mendes is a Brazilian singer and composer, born in Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais. He gained prominence in 1975 with his hit song "CADEIRA DE RODAS," which sold over a million copies and received extensive radio play across the country. Among his accolades, he has won a gold record award and achieved the title of Villa Lobos' biggest selling album of 1979 with the song "VOCÊ NÃO ME ENSINOU A TE ESQUECER," arranged by Hugo Bellard. Mendes has toured both in Brazil and internationally, participated in various television programs, and continues to write and perform on stage in Brazil.
