Ferrante & Teicher were an American piano duo renowned for their arrangements of popular songs, classical music, soundtracks, and musical pieces. The duo was formed by one member born in New York City on September 7, 1921, and the other in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on August 24, 1924. They recorded 150 albums, won 22 Gold and Platinum records, and sold 90 million records throughout their career. They performed 5,200 concerts before retiring in 1989. One member passed away on September 19, 2009, and the other on August 3, 2008.
