Fields Of The Nephilim is a distinctive goth rock band formed in 1984 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, UK. The band is known for incorporating psychedelic and progressive elements into their music until their split in 1991. Following the split, vocalist Carl McCoy pursued his own project, while the remaining members embarked on new ventures. In 1998, there were rumors of a Fields Of The Nephilim reunion, but these did not come to fruition. In 2002, Jungle Records released several recordings without McCoy's consent, prompting him to regroup and produce the album "Mourning Sun" in 2005. Throughout their history, the band has seen various lineups. The original members from 1984 to 1985 included Carl McCoy (vocals), Tony Pettit (bass), Paul Wright (guitar), Gary Whisker (saxophone), and Nod Wright (drums). From 1985 to 1991, the lineup consisted of McCoy, Pettit, Wright, Peter Yates (guitar), and Alexander "Nod" Wright (drums). In 1998, the lineup featured McCoy, Pettitt, Nod Wright, and Paul Wright. By 2000, it included McCoy, Pettitt, John "Capachino" Carter, Paul Miles, and Simon Rippin. In 2002, McCoy and Carter were the only members. In 2007, the
