5 Revolutions, originally formed in 1968 as "The Twangs," is a Zambian rock and Kalindula group. The original lineup included members who later pursued other musical paths, including one who became the lead guitarist for another band. The group played at bars and venues in Zambia's Copperbelt and gained recognition through support from ZMPL, becoming the label's most successful band. In 1975, they released their first rock album under the ZMPL label, followed by two more rock albums in the late 1970s. By 1980, they transitioned to Kalindula music. Their last album was released in 1986, along with several singles throughout the 1970s and 80s, while remaining active as live performers. The band continued to perform into the 1990s until the decline of ZMPL, and the last member passed away in 2012.
