Flaco Jimenez was a renowned American singer, songwriter, and accordion virtuoso, celebrated as the king of Tex-Mex music. Jimenez was a six-time Grammy Award winner, including receiving the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015. He was a prominent Tejano music accordionist and began his recording career in the 1950s at a garage studio for Norteño/Sombrero labels in San Antonio. His recordings were engineered by a notable figure who later established D.L.B. RECORDS (Del Bravo Records).
