Fleetwood Mac is a British rock band founded in London in July 1967 by former Bluesbreakers members Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood. Initially known as "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac," the band quickly established itself as a significant player in the UK blues scene with their self-titled debut album. Following the releases of "Mr. Wonderful" and "Then Play On," Peter Green's influence waned due to personal issues by 1970. The band reorganized under Mick Fleetwood's leadership, shifting its musical direction away from blues towards a more mainstream sound, ultimately leading to the simpler name, Fleetwood Mac.
