Floetry was an English R&B duo consisting of Marsha Ambrosius, known as "the Songstress," and Natalie Stewart, referred to as "the Floacist." Formed in 1997, they began their journey on the performance poetry stage and are recognized as influential figures in the development of the Neo-Soul genre, while also popularizing the integration of poetry and spoken word into music. The duo recorded two studio albums and one live album, achieving worldwide sales of over 1,500,000 records. In 2006, they parted ways to pursue solo careers. However, in 2015, Floetry reunited for their first performance in nine years at the Pepsi Funk Festival in College Park, Georgia, and announced plans to record a new album. Despite this, they split again after the second leg of their reunion tour in August 2016.
