Fluke was formed in the late 1980s by three friends living together in London. Initially making dreamy pop music, they were influenced by the explosion of acid house and the growing electronica sound, which shaped their early singles like "Thumper," "Joni," and "Slid." Their techno-rock debut album, "The Techno Rose Of Blighty," marked their entry into the music scene. After signing with Virgin, they released "Six Wheels On My Wagon" in 1993 and "OTO" in 1995, establishing themselves as a significant force in the progressive house and trip-hop genres. Their fourth album, "Risotto," released in 1997, achieved great success, driven by the big-beat track "Atom Bomb" and the breakbeat tune "Reeferendrum." Following extensive worldwide touring, Fluke took a break to focus on their extensive remix work, culminating in the retrospective album "Progressive History X" in 2001. Their final and most mature album, "Puppy," was released in mid-2003, featuring only Jon Fugler and Mike Bryant, as Mike Tournier pursued his own band with vocalist Jan Burton.
