Flute & Voice is a duo founded in spring 1970, consisting of a flutist and a vocalist. They recorded their first album, “Imaginations of Light,” in the same year. In 1973, they recorded a second album titled “Hallo Rabbit,” which was not published at the time due to its lack of commercial appeal; it was later included as a bonus album in the 1995 reissue of their first album. The duo performed live with various guest musicians until Hans Brandeis relocated to Berlin in 1974, leading to the group's disbandment in 1975. Both “Imaginations of Light” and “Hallo Rabbit” were released together on compact disc in 1995. In 1996, demo tapes from 1974 and 1975 were re-recorded and released as a compact disc entitled "Drachenlieder."
