Forward Music Quintet emerged in 1981 from the Greek music scene, founded by George Makridis (bass) and Takis Polihronopoulos (vocals), both former members of Parthenogenesis. The lineup also included Natassa Streuberg (keyboards), Elle (guitar and vocals), and Nick (drums). Their sound blended elements of post-punk and new wave, reflecting the era's experimental spirit. In 1982, they supported New Order during their Athens concert and toured with TVC across ten Greek cities. Their debut album, "The Mystery of a Dying Species," was released in 1983, followed by "Glory and Betrayal" in 1985. Forward Music Quintet's innovative approach and dynamic performances have left a lasting imprint on Greece's alternative music landscape.
