Foxy was a disco group formed by Ish Ledesma (lead vocals), Arnold Pasiero (bass), Richie Puente Jr. (percussion), Charlie Murciano (keyboards), and Joe Galdo (drums). Born on October 2, 1952, in Cuba, Ledesma led the group, which worked as the house band for Henry Stone's T.K. Records after KC & the Sunshine Band. They supplemented their income by performing gigs, and the idea for their hit song "Get Off," which became a number one R&B hit, originated at a club in Maryland. The band developed the track back in Miami at T.K.'s studio, adding female vocals for the chorus. They released several albums, including "Get Off," "Hot Numbers," and "Party Boys," over three years before disbanding. Two compilation CDs were later released: "Get Off: The Best of Foxy" in 1995 and "Get Off: Hot Numbers" in 1998.
