F.P & The Doubling Riders is a musical project that emerged from various new-wave and experimental folk groups in Italy during the early 1980s. It began as a mail-art initiative by Francesco Paladino, alongside multi-instrumentalist Pier Luigi Andreoni. Initially, the project featured a range of international talents. As the group evolved, with the addition of Riccardo Sinigaglia and a more stable lineup, The Doubling Riders became an unclassifiable, genre-hopping ensemble, recognized as a leading force in Italian new music.
