Francisco Zumaque is a Colombian composer born on July 18, 1945, in Cereté. He is known for his Caribbean-influenced electroacoustic music and experimental works that draw from Colombian folklore. As the son of a bandleader who innovated the Macumba rhythm, Zumaque has established himself as a contemporary musician with a focus on electroacoustic music.
