Frank Duval is a German composer, conductor, producer, and songwriter, born on November 22, 1940, in Berlin into an artists' family. He began his career in theater as an actor from 1952 to 1958, followed by roles in films and musicals from 1959 to 1965, and producing short films between 1965 and 1968. Since 1965, he has worked in the broadcast industry on soundtracks and musicals, but it was in 1977 that he discovered his true passion for writing and producing musical scores for TV series, including Derrick, Der Alte, Unsere schönsten Jahre, Tatort, and Polizeiinspektion 1. His wife contributed her vocals and writing to many of his releases.
