Frank Sinatra was a renowned American singer and actor, born on December 12, 1915, in Hoboken, New Jersey. He earned several nicknames, including "The Voice," "Ol' Blue Eyes," "The Chairman Of The Board," and "Frankie Boy." Sinatra began his musical career during the swing era and achieved significant success as a solo artist after signing with Columbia Records in March 1943. He remained with Columbia until the label dropped him in June 1952. Subsequently, he signed a seven-year recording contract with Capitol Records on March 13, 1953, during which he released several critically acclaimed albums. In 1960, Sinatra left Capitol to establish his own record label, toured internationally, and was associated with the Rat Pack and President John F. Kennedy in the early 1960s. Sinatra had three children: Nancy Sinatra (singer, artist), Frank Sinatra Jr. (musician), and Tina Sinatra (TV producer), all from his first marriage to Nancy Barbato, which lasted from 1939 to 1951. He was married three additional times, to actresses Ava Gardner (from 1951 to 1957) and Mia Farrow (from 1966 to 1968), and finally to model/showgirl Barbara Marx, whom he married in 1976 and remained with until his death on May 14, 1998, in Los Angeles, California.
