Frank Stokes was a Memphis blues singer and guitarist, born on January 1, 1888, in Whitehaven, Shelby County, Tennessee. He passed away on September 12, 1955, in Memphis, Tennessee. In the late 1920s, Stokes performed with a guitarist and recorded a total of 38 sides for the Paramount and Victor labels.
