Frankie and the Damons is an R&B/soul band hailing from Raleigh, NC, formed in 1966 by drummer Frankie Presnell. The band's lineup includes Rick Price on guitar, trumpet, and vocals, and Carleen Clayton as the female bassist. Other members of the band are Ben Runkle on tenor saxophone and vocals, Chip Crawford on organ and guitar, John Wilson on guitar, John Carter and Johnny Farmer on bass, Ray Starling on trumpet, Dave Beckley on trombone, and vocalists Joe Faison, known for "Bad Woman" and "My Best Friend," and Howard Exum, who performed "Man From Soul."
