Frankie Lee Sims was an American blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter born on April 30, 1917, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He passed away on May 10, 1970, in Dallas, Texas. Sims was a prominent figure in the Texas country blues movement during the 1940s and 1950s. He was related to other musicians as a nephew and cousin, although their names are not specified.
