Frida, born on November 15, 1945, in Ballangen, Norway, is a renowned singer best known as a member of ABBA. She began her music career in 1958 as a jazz singer under her given name and won a talent competition in 1967, making her first TV appearance. Frida had her first #1 hit in Sweden in 1971 with a track from her eponymous album, produced by her then fiancé and future husband. In 1972, she signed with a new label and recorded another #1 hit, coinciding with the formation of ABBA. Frida's first solo album for Polar was released in 1975, featuring the single "Fernando," which later became a hit for ABBA. Although she did not fully adopt the name 'Frida' until after her time with ABBA, it appeared on the sleeves of her 70s albums. After divorcing her husband in 1981 and ABBA's last new material release in 1982, she collaborated with a drummer and singer on her album "Something's Going On," which became a significant success in Europe. In 1984, she released another album that achieved moderate success, and she debuted as a songwriter on the album. After focusing on environmental issues, she became a princess through her marriage to Prince Heinrich Ruzzo Reuss in 1992. Her 1996 album marked a comeback, particularly in Scandinavia.
