**Bio: Friends Of The Family** Friends Of The Family was formed in Wilmington, Delaware, following the demise of a previous band. The lineup initially included John Rhoades, along with former members of another local band, The Turfs, Wayne Watson and Jimmy Crawford. In May 1967, they recorded a six-song demo at Virtue Recording Studios in Philadelphia, which garnered interest from several labels, though none ultimately released the material. In late Summer 1967, John Rhoades left the band and was replaced by Linzee Lee and Ray Andrews. In July 1968, they recorded five original songs, but these were overlooked in favor of two tracks, "Can't Go Home" and "How You Gonna Keep Your Little Girl Home," written by a Cameo Parkway staff writer. The band was only allowed to provide vocals on these tracks, while session musicians played all the instruments. Following a fallout with label owner and producer Joe Renzetti, the band parted ways. Although they did not record again, they had the opportunity to open for The Who and Pink Floyd at the Philadelphia Music Festival in late 1968, shortly before disbanding. **Personnel:** - Jimmy Crawford - Drums - Ted Munda - Lead Vocals, Guitar - John Rhoades - Bass - Wayne Watson - Lead Guitar - Ray Andrews - Bass, Vocals - Linzee Lee - Keyboards, Vocals
