Frigidaire Tango is an Italian New Wave band formed in July 1977 by Carlo Casale and Stefano Dal Col, initially known as the Outkids, one of the first Italian Punk Rock groups. After a series of local concerts, the band expanded with the addition of keyboardist Marco Brenda, who helped develop their unique sound. In 1980, they released their first full-length LP, 'The Cock,' which was later recognized as one of the 100 fundamental least-known Rock LPs by the French magazine Tsugi in September 2010. In early 1983, with the addition of a second keyboardist, Frigidaire Tango released a self-produced mini-LP titled 'Russian Dolls,' which became a classic of the new Italian Rock scene. During this time, they toured Italy with The Sound. The band reached the height of their popularity in mid-1986, performing at the Biennale in Barcelona before ultimately splitting up.
