Fu-Schnickens is a Brooklyn-based hip-hop group known for their bizarre, humorous style and exceptional skill. They burst onto the scene in 1992 with their acclaimed single, "Ring The Alarm," which is an update of a reggae tune. Their debut album, "F.U.: Don't Take It Personal," is filled with references to martial arts and Asian culture and features hits such as "True Fuschnick," "Movie Scene," and "La Schmoove," the latter of which includes a collaboration with a member of a revered collective. In 1993, the group, consisting of Poc-Fu, Moc-Fu, and Chip-Fu, released the Top 40 single "What's Up Doc?" featuring NBA star Shaquille O'Neal, who regarded them as his favorite group. This track served as the lead single for Shaq's debut album. Their follow-up album, "Nervous Breakdown," released in 1994, included popular tracks like "Breakdown" and "Sum Dum Monkey." Fu-Schnickens amicably disbanded in 1996 to pursue individual creative endeavors.
