Fudge Tunnel was formed in Nottingham, UK, in 1988, featuring the original lineup of Alex Newport (guitar/vocals), Adrian Parkin (drums), and David Ryley (bass). The band initially released two EPs for Pigboy (Vinyl Solution) before signing with Earache Records. Their debut album, "Hate Songs in E Minor," garnered attention when its original artwork was confiscated by the Nottingham Vice Squad. Fudge Tunnel became known for their massive guitar sound and ironic sense of humor, which sometimes led to mixed reactions from the music press. After releasing their third album, "The Complicated Futility Of Ignorance," the band decided there was nothing more to express and subsequently disbanded.
