Matthew Puffett, known professionally as Future Beat Alliance, began his production career in 1996 with a series of releases on Void Records, using various aliases including Mode-M and Soul Electrik. However, it is under the moniker Future Beat Alliance that he has released the majority of his work, collaborating with esteemed electronic labels across Europe such as Tresor, Delsin, Rush Hour, and Versatile. Since 2012, Matthew has served as the main Programmer and Engineer for James Lavelle's UNKLE project. His contributions include co-writing and programming UNKLE's fifth studio album, The Road Part I, as well as working on various film projects and advertising campaigns. Notable works include music for Paul Bettany’s directorial debut, Shelter, H&M's winter fall 2012 campaign, and scoring the short film "Erebus." He has also remixed tracks for prominent bands such as Queens Of The Stone Age, Bombay Bicycle Club, London Grammar, Mark Lanegan, The Duke Spirit, and Ten Fe. During his tenure with UNKLE, the project received the MPG Remixer Of The Year award in both 2016 and 2018.
