Gabriella Ferri (18 September 1942 - 3 April 2004) was an Italian pop-folk singer and actress born in Rome, Italy. She began her career in 1963 at a Milan nightclub, where she was discovered. By 1965, she gained popularity in Rome for singing well-known Roman songs, with one of her biggest hits being "Sempre" ("Always"). Throughout her career, she also performed Neapolitan and Latin American music. In the 1970s, Ferri starred in several popular TV shows, but by the 1990s, she had largely stepped away from the spotlight. She died after falling from a third-floor balcony, in what was reported as an apparent suicide, though her family members denied this, suggesting she may have lost her balance after taking anti-depression medication.
