Garnet Mimms And The Enchanters was a 60's soul group formed in 1961 in Philadelphia. The group consisted of two members from a disbanded group, along with Zola Pearnell and Charles Boyer. They later relocated to New York, where they began collaborating with other artists. In 1964, Garnet Mimms left the group to pursue a solo career, and Bell took over as the leader. With the addition of William Gilmore, the group evolved further.
