Gary Nieland is an Oregon-based drummer and label owner. He initially drummed for the touring version of a band before teaming up with a bandmate to form a group in Idaho. They later relocated to Oregon, where they released a 45 record and changed their name to The Crusaders. Nieland took on the dual role of drummer and vocalist for the band, which eventually changed its name to Dart. After leaving Dart, while still serving as their booking agent, he focused on a new project called The New Group, where he performed alongside his wife.
