Gary Warren was a US Rock 'n Roll, Horror Rock, Pop, and Soul singer and songwriter, active primarily in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Born in 1930, he is best known for his notorious 1958 record "Werewolf / Midnight Rain," which is considered one of the first "Horror Rock" records. Gary's unique vocal ability allowed him to transition between tenor and deep bass, which may have contributed to his limited commercial success. He experienced a brief comeback in the early 1970s before retiring from music professionally. Gary passed away on March 24, 2012, at the age of 82. Alongside his wife, Juanita, he owned and operated the Roman Health Spa in Nashville for many years.
