Gene Woodbury was an actor and musician known for his role as Lewis Humes in Kojak's The Marcus-Nelson Murders (1973), where he portrayed a homicide detective who suspects that a black teenager accused of murdering two white girls is being framed by his fellow detectives. In addition to this notable performance, Woodbury appeared in other films and television shows, including Full Moon High (1981), The Bay (2012), and Gifted (2017). He passed away on August 5, 2019, in California.
