Georg Danzer was a musician, singer, songwriter, and guitarist born on October 7, 1946, in Vienna, Austria. He passed away on June 21, 2007, in Pamhagen, Austria. Danzer is recognized as one of the pioneers of Austropop, although he always refused to identify with the genre. He is best known for his comic songs "Jö schau," which tells the story of a streaker at the Café Hawelka, and "Hupf' in Gatsch," both performed in Viennese German. He published his own compositions throughout his career.
