George Brecht was an American minimalist artist and composer, known for his unique approach to music that deviated from conventional norms. Born on August 27, 1926, in New York, USA, he was also a professional chemist. Brecht was an early member of the Fluxus movement. He passed away on December 5, 2008, in Cologne, Germany. He once stated, "The virtuoso listener can hear music at any moment."
