George Clanton is a multidiscipline artist and musician known for his significant contributions to the Vaporwave genre since 2012. He is the founder of the 100% Electronica record label and fashion line. In 2015, Clanton released his album under his real name, which was recognized as one of the top 10 albums of the year by Gorilla Vs Bear. His 2018 album Slide received praise from Pitchfork, which noted that he embodies the kind of artist that chillwave could have benefited from a decade earlier, drawing comparisons to Ariel Pink and John Maus. Anthony Fantano from The Needle Drop described his music as “orgasmic.” Clanton's discography includes 7 full-length albums, and his label features a roster of notable vaporwave artists, including Small Black, Negative Gemini, and Windows 96.
