George Enescu, also known as George Enesco, was a prominent Romanian composer, pianist, violinist, and conductor, widely regarded as the most important musician from Romania. He was born on August 19, 1881, in Liveni-Vârnav, Botoșani, Romania, and passed away on May 4, 1955, in Paris, France. Throughout his career, Enescu created a significant body of work, including symphonic suites, sonatas, orchestral pieces, and operas. His notable compositions include the "Romanian Rhapsody No. 1" and "No. 2," the "Symphony No. 1" in E♭ major, and the "Œdipe," a tragic lyrical work.
