Georges Delerue (March 12, 1925 – March 20, 1992) was a French composer known for his work in opera, ballet, theater, and film scores. He composed music for notable films such as 'Jules et Jim' and many of François Truffaut's other works, as well as 'The Pumpkin Eater', 'Julia', and 'A Man For All Seasons'. Delerue won the Oscar for Best Score in 1979 for the film 'A Little Romance'.
