Gérard Gesina is a drummer, composer, and arranger born in Algiers. He began his musical journey studying piano and percussion at the Academy of Music, later honing his drumming skills with Dante Agostini and Kenny Clarke. For nearly 30 years, he served as the drummer for Juliette Gréco, touring worldwide. Gesina has accompanied numerous entertainers, including Annie Cordy, for whom he wrote "Viens Prendre Un Verre," the B-side of "La Bonne Du Curé." Alongside Johny Rech, he composed "Odyssey 81" for Georges Zamfir, which was recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra. He has participated in recording sessions and musicals such as "Hello Dolly," "La Vie Parisienne," and "Le Comte De Monte Cristo," working with renowned conductors like François Rauber, Armand Migiani, and Michel Legrand. Transitioning into music composition and sound design, he has created music for television shows including "7 Sur 7," "Tele Foot," "Auto Motor," "Sport Dimanche," and "Roland Garros." Additionally, he has composed music for advertisements for brands such as Maison Verte, Saint Hubert, Continental Airlines, Brandt, Knorr, Saveol, Ferrero, Foie Gras Bizac, 5 à Sec, and Alinea.
