Gerard La Viny was a singer and songwriter from the Antilles islands, born on April 17, 1933, in Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe. He later relocated to France, where he gained popularity for his Caribbean sounds. Gerard La Viny passed away in Paris on October 6, 2009, at the age of 76. He was also a father.
