The Geto Boys, originally formed as "The Ghetto Boys" in Houston in 1986, started with a different lineup that included Raheem, Sir Rap-A-Lot, and The Slim Jukebox. They released a 12" single titled "Car Freak" before Raheem and K9/Sir Rap-A-Lot departed. New members Prince Johnny C. and another artist joined, leading to the release of "You Ain't Nothing/I Run This." Dancer/hypeman Little Billy was later added to the group. This lineup persisted until their debut album "Making Trouble," which received little recognition. The group underwent a revamp with Johnny C. and Jukebox leaving, while Little Billy transitioned from dancer to rapper. They welcomed two solo acts from Rap-A-Lot, DJ Akshen, who is better known as Scarface, and another member, officially becoming known as "The Geto Boys." The members included: - Sir Rap-A-Lot (1986-1987) - Prince Johnny C. (1986-1988) - The Slim Jukebox (1986-1988) - Little Billy (1986-1990) - Scarface (1989-present) - Big Mike (1993-1994) The group has had a significant impact on the hip-hop scene, particularly from the late 1980s onward.
