GG Allin was an American punk rock singer born on August 29, 1956, in Lancaster, New Hampshire. He passed away on June 28, 1993, in New York City from a heroin overdose. His mother legally changed his name to Kevin Michael Allin on March 2, 1962. Allin is best remembered for his live performances that included transgressive acts such as onstage defecation, coprophagia, self-harm, and violent actions toward the audience. He recorded prolifically across various genres, including punk, spoken word, country, and Rolling Stones-influenced rock.
