Ghédalia Tazartès was a French artist born on May 12, 1947, in Paris, France, and he passed away on February 9, 2021, in the same city. A nomadic figure in the music world, Tazartès explored a diverse range of sounds, moving fluidly from chant to rhythm and from one voice to another. He bridged electric and vocal paths, drawing inspiration from elements such as muezzin psalmody and the raw energy of rock. His work created abstract landscapes where various cultural symbols, including the mitre of the white clown, the plumes of the sorcerer, the helmet of a cop, and Parisian anhydride, merged into unique polyphonic ceremonies.
