Ghédalia Tazartès was a French artist born on May 12th, 1947, in Paris, France, and he passed away on February 9th, 2021, in the same city. Known as a nomad in the realm of music, Tazartès explored a wide range of sounds, moving fluidly from chant to rhythm and from one voice to another. He was known for pioneering both electric and vocal paths, blending elements of muezzin psalmody with the raw intensity of rock music. His work painted abstract landscapes, merging diverse symbols such as the mitre of the white clown, the plumes of the sorcerer, the helmet of a cop, and Parisian anhydride into unique polyphonic ceremonies.
