Giancarlo Gazzani was an Italian composer, conductor, and trombonist, born in 1941 in Rome, Italy, and he passed away in 2023 in Turin. He studied trombone, composition, and conducting, and as an eclectic musician, he led various symphony orchestras and rhythmic ensembles. From 1970, he directed the "Orchestra Ritmo-Sinfonica of the R.A.I." in Rome, where he recorded for radio, television, and cinema productions. Gazzani composed in various genres, including soundtracks and library music, and wrote arrangements for wind orchestras. He collaborated with SDR in Stuttgart for many years and served as chair of orchestral exercises at the Conservatory of Turin.
