Gigliola Cinquetti is an Italian singer, journalist, and TV presenter born on December 20, 1947, in Verona, Italy. In 1964, at the age of 16, she won a prestigious singing competition with her song, which became an international success and spent 17 weeks in the UK Singles Chart.
